Ich kam 2001 nach Hamburg. Vorher hatte ich mich in Bremen schon im „Rat & Tat“-Zentrum ehrenamtlich eingesetzt. Dies wollte ich auch in Hamburg tun und so kam ich zu „Hein & Fiete“. Dort habe ich viele Seiten des schwulen Lebens kennengelernt und selbst an Toleranz und Offenheit dazugewonnen. Auch wenn ich nicht mehr bei „Hein & Fiete“ tätig bin, möchte ich diese Zeit nicht missen.

I came to Hamburg in 2001. Before that I had lived in Bremen where I voluntarily supported a community service at a queer information centre called “Rat & Tat“. In Hamburg I wanted to do the same and so I came to “Hein & Fiete“, a queer checkpoint in the centre of the city. There I came to learn a variety of aspects of queer life and I gained even more tolerance and openness as to the different sides of it. Even though I am not working at “Hein & Fiete“ anymore, I would not want to miss those times.
